As you all probably know by now, I love posting links with many of my threads. I just enjoy sharing my favorite videos with others. You don't have to though, you can just write out your favorite moments, so don't feel any pressure to supply a link. If your favorite moment sounds interesting to me, I'll just look the video up myself. Anyway, I'm not going to post any favorite moments right now, but will later. Please feel free though to share some of your favorite, or most memorable sports memories. I'm looking forward to reading your guys' replies!!

This is possibly the most amazing feat I've ever seen in sports history. I believe this is from 2004, and is the moment where Tracy Mccgrady scored 13points against the Spurs in the games final 35 seconds, giving the Rockets a one point win. I doubt we'll ever see a feat like this in the NBA ever again. It's amazing how this happened only a few years ago, and how now because of injuries, he is a shell of his former self, who now has trouble scoring 13 points in a full game, much less in 35 seconds. Atleast he'll always have this moment to brag about though.

The one that immediately came to mind for me was watching Hank Aaron beat Babe Ruth's home run record in 1974.

the phillies winning the 2008 world series championship
the phillies world series parade, which I went to. over 3/4 million their.

the 4th to last game at the vet. which i was at. i can't remember who won but we got tickets off of a scalper on the streets, last minute and got into the game. they also gave us a veterans stadium replica model, which is really cool and my Dad and I still have (they gave us one each).

the flyers going to the conf. finals vs. tampa bay

game 6, flyers vs. tampa bay. keith primeau scores with like a minute left to tie it, simon gagne scores in OT and flyers win. also....

game 6 semi-finals, flyers vs. toronto maple leafs. sami kapanen gets crushed on the play but roenick scores the GW, to get the flyers TO the conf. finals vs. tampa bay that year.

the phillies 161st game last year, to win the division, on the Game ending double play. rollins to utley to howard.

phillies division winning game in 2007. brett myers gets a strike out vs. the Nationals (the 2008 division clincher was vs. Washington too, both at home coincidentally).

jim thome's 400th homerun

the eagles in the super bowl 2005
and the NFC championship game that year, vs. Atlanta and Mike Vick

flyers going to the conf. finals vs. the devils in 2001 i believe it was

sixers going to the nba finals vs. the lakers in 2000

my first flyers, sixers, phillies and eagles game (my only game, when it comes to the Eagles & 76ers)

the flyers coming back the last 2 years, after having the worst record in the NHL the previous year before 2 years ago, and getting to the conf. finals vs. pitt in 2007-2008.

the eagles defeating the vikings and giants, and getting to the NFC Championship game again last year.

oh and this has nothing to do with any pro sports teams, but in high school, I played rec. hockey (which means for the town, they split tryouts into teams, not for a school), our team won the championship (and got this big ass championship), and I was ROY everybody considered. One of my most special moments in general & involving sports.

Phillies winning the 1980 WS. Also winning the 2008, too, but in 1980, I was a HUGE fan. I'm still a fan, but not like I was. Sorry!

Cal Ripken breaking Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played.

Mark McGwire breaking Roger Maris's single season homerun record(despite the whole steroid thing), and the battle between him & Sammy Sosa. This started me watching baseball again.

Pete Rose breaking Ty Cobb's all-time hit record(and despite the whole gambling thing)

Reggie Jackson hitting 3 HRs in the WS.

The high school I graduated from won the football state championship last year. Why couldn't they have done that when I was going to school there??! The best they did was in my senior year when we went 7-3, and lost in the 1st round of the playoffs!

Man, both you guys have my school beat. The high school I would have gone to, has a huge reputation in Oregon. Unfortunately it's an embarrassing reputation. Our varsity football team hasn't won a game since 1990 I believe.

No I'm not ****ting you guys, we just absolutely suck, year after year. If and when we do finally win a game, it'll likely make the front page of the sports section of our newspaper. I'm not kidding either, us winning would be HUGE news in the State of Oregon!!!

1989-Eagles beating Niners 28-10 in 4th Qtr and Joe Montana leads the Niners on a comeback to win 38-28

1993-Cowboys beat Eagles in Divisional Playoff Round

1997-Jaguars upset Denver in AFC Divisional Round

1999-Music City Miracle

2001-76ers beat Lakers Game 1 of NBA Finals

2003-Bucs beat Eagles at the last game at Vet in NFC Championship

2005-Dallas trailing Eagles 20-7 with 3 mins left in 4th Qtr on MNF and wins 21-20 with a Int on Mcnabb

brad and phoebe, my first hs i went to, for my freshman and sophmore year, won the title in my sophmore year. coincidentally, they got to the title game in my freshman year, but lost to a north jersey team.

All the great, memorable moments of the Cleveland Indians' magical carpet ride of the mid-90s/early-00s. Especially 1995 and 1997...going to the World Series twice while I was in high school (which we proceeded to LOSE, but that's another rant for another day). Everyone you'll meet in Cleveland will swear to you that the Major League movies (at least the first 2) are real - a case of life imitating art!!

Here is a funny baseball story - I always got a chuckle out of this, poor guy:

The Cubs were playing a national TV game, and Joe Morgan was one of the broadcasters. It was Randy Myers poster day at Wrigley Field, Myers being the Cubs closer at the time. Myers came into the game and blew the save. With the lead gone and Myers still on the mound, the Bleacher Bums began throwing their Randy Myers posters onto the field. Hundreds of rolled-up posters littered the outfield grass and the game was delayed. It was a spontaneous, heartfelt, funny statement by long-suffering fans.

And finally - I WAS THERE IN PERSON for this dubious moment in Cleveland sports history and one of the few who didn't break the law that day!!

When Donovan Bailey won the gold in the sprint in the 96 Olympics and DIDN'T test positve for 'roids like Ben Johnson did (and embarrassed his country in the process). You could hear the whole country cheer at that moment I swear! (We scared one of our cats so badly that he jumped a good 7 feet in the air and landed at the bottom of the basement steps - even my brother said, "Holy **** - did you see THAT?!")

We named our male dog after him!
