This show needs to be on the air! I just got digital cable with several channels of nickelodeon and am surprised that they all show the same thing over and over and over.

What about classic Nick?? Tsk.

The disney characters? JK. I haven't heard of this show................ARE they the disney chacaters?

No, not disney. This is a french anime that ran on nick throughout the 80's. It was about a little country (french country) boy named Sebastian and his adventures with a GIANT great pyrenese dog named Belle. He used to ride on her like a horse and everything; it was total little kid fantasy.

The police were after the dog to kill her because there were rumors she attacked someone, so he ran away from home with her and took off to Spain to find his real mother, who was a gypsy. Absolutley rocked.
Toward the end of the series he stumbled onto another Pyr, just a puppy, and he used to carry him around in his pocket.

The closest I've come to finding any tapes is amazon.co.uk -- and those are in b&w, so i don't think it's even the same version.
