The upcoming Oct. 7 episode of Kelsey Grammer’s new ABC sitcom, Hank, will find Kelsey’s financially strapped character taking part in a yard sale to unload items from his past life. (Kelsey directed the episode, which introduces Hank’s sister-in-law, Dawn, played by Gilmore Girls/Samantha Who alum Melissa McCarthy.) Though the thought of the multi-Emmy-winning multi-millionaire at a garage sale may be difficult to picture, Kelsey tells me he and his wife, Camille, often spend weekends (when at their east coast home in upstate New York) trolling through strangers’ cast-offs. “I frequent them during the summer,” says Kelsey.
If you want to lure the Grammers to your home, here’s what to put out: “We mainly look for Depression-era glass,” he says. “We’ll see a little piece we like and realize we just bought somebody else’s junk.” So if the five-time Emmy winner were to host his own garage sale, what would it look like? “I think it would have to be more of an auction run by Sotheby’s,” quips the star. http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/kecks...home-2517.html |

I cannot wait for the show to premiere this week. I hope it does better than Back to You did. I need some Kelsey in my life.

I agree, but in fairness to BTY, it was up against a writers strike AND a network president who never wanted the show. |
