Angry Maureen 'Marcia Brady' McCormick Still Fighting With Eve 'Jan' Plumb

While Maureen McCormick’s five-year stint as "The Brady Bunch" beauty Marcia gave us a glimpse into the perfect modern family, the domestic bliss we saw on TV hasn't quite translated in the real world.

"I talk to everyone from the show except Eve Plumb (Jan Brady). We all get along, except for Eve," McCormick told Tarts at last week's Kari Feinstein Pre-Emmy Style Lounge.

McCormick "joked" in her memoir "Here’s the Story" that she and her on-screen sister had a lesbian affair while working together, which is rumored to be the basis for why they aren’t on talking terms as Plumb was less-than-impressed with the confession. Although it sounds as though McCormick is ready to reconcile.

"It’s such a drag because I loved her," McCormick said. "I hope we can work it out, she was my best friend on the show. It’s been years since we spoke."

But on a brighter note, the former sitcom starlet proudly told us that she’s been busy working for Access Hollywood and losing weight, 24 pounds to be exact, although she "isn’t allowed" to reveal her slimming secrets quite yet.

"Its been fabulous, I’m working out all the time and eating really healthy stuff. I had no choice but to lose weight. I couldn’t even bend down and tie my shoes," she explained. "I was really disgusted with myself, enough is enough. I’m at an age where its really hard to lose it so I may as well lose it now for the rest of life and get it together."

So what caused Ms McCormick to tip the scales in the first place?

"A really bad family situation that I'm going through right now," she added. "It’s okay, I’m feeling better now."

I sure hope they can patch things up - I wish nothing but the best for both ladies.

I saw Maureen on the (otherwise nauseating) Comedy Central Roast of Larry the Cable Guy (!!??); she looked great, and had to endure some truly disgusting jokes (though she threw out a few too, lol).

I agree - they've known each other for over 40 years (almost all their lives!). It's time they buried the hatchet (hopefully not in each other!! ).

I've read Maureen's bio and the life she has gone through--no wonder I can relate to her! No, I never did drugs, but I do know about crazy, dysfunctional family life. And funny, I actually had a few e-mails with her dad several years ago (and I had no idea the stuff that was going on at the time!).

Mo didn't help things when she thanked everyone but Eve in her thank you list in the book. There was nothing said in the book (even in a joking manner) about anything sexual between her and Eve.

And funny, I just converted the now 5 year old TV Land reunion to DVD (even then you could feel the chill from Eve).

Maybe if Eve ever does a memoir, we can read her side of things. There are things that have happened to her that we don't know so who knows how that shaped her behavior.

Eve has always kept her personal life very private yet at the same time she seems to envy the attention that Maureen gets. No wonder she's bitter.

I think Maureen and Mike are the only Brady kids still with their first spouses?

eve is divorced, as is barry (I think twice), Chris is on marriage #3, Susan is divorced twice.

You're right . Maureen has been married to her husband for 24 years and Mike has been married to his wife for 22 years. Barry, Chris, and Susan have each been divorced twice and Eve was divorced once.

Personally, I don't think Eve is the type to write a memoir. But in her defense, I have seen some of her artwork and she is a very talented artist!! Maybe she just wants to keep the past in the past and wants people to recognize her other talents. Not that I blame her - but I don't think it would hurt her to embrace the fans and her place in pop culture history. Other former child stars have used their public personas to help bring attention to their other ventures.

Susan, for instance, is bringing her fame as a Brady to the cause of Preciouspaws.org and she helps to foster abandoned/neglected/abused kittens and cats. God bless her!!
