Movie "Lost Boys 3: The Thirst" *Corey Feldman Talks 'Lost Boys' at Comic-Con*

Lost Boys 3: The Thirst Director and Synopsis!
Thursday, September 24, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Bloody Disgusting learned this morning that Dario Piana, director of The Deaths of Ian Stone, is getting behind the camera for Warner Premiere's Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, which was scripted by Evan Charnov.

Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander are said to return at the Frog brothers, although I could only confirm Feldman's involvement.

Here's the exclusive plot crunch:
"When veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog finds himself destitute and almost friendless, he thinks his live has hit bottom - but wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J.Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate evil."

Shooting is set to begin this November in South Africa.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

I'm sorry but, as somebody who loves the original Lost Boys, I won't watch the 2nd one and I don't see myself seeing this one, either.

The second one, The Tribe, really wasn't all that great. I will say that Corey Feldman was probably the only good thing about it as he was good in it.

Corey Feldman Talks Lost Boys 3
Source: Feldman Blog
September 27, 2009

On Thursday, details surfaced about Warner Premiere's Lost Boys 3: The Thirst. Now star Corey Feldman has updated his blog with the following entry talking about the threequel.

In keeping with that positivity, I have some exciting news that I just can't keep under wraps any longer! Well actually someone leaked it first but since its already all over the net here goes... as the title above us reads we are finally going to make a third installment to "The Lost Boys" series.

I am very excited to get started. The title of the film will be "Lost Boys: The Thirst" and I am excited to say it will be a full scale return of the Frog Brothers. Not like the tease in the last film.

I would say this will be much closer to the comic book series. I do not want to tell you too much about it other than I have been lucky enough to be asked to Executive Produce the film for Warners. What that means is that I will have more creative involvement than ever before. I promise to do my very best to give the fans what they want this time around.

This film will also have a bit more modern of a look to it as it is being directed by Italian director Dario Piana who directed a very futuristic Horror film called "The Deaths of Ian Stone".

I am also pleased to announce that Truth Movement has been asked to contribute some music to the films soundtrack. Which is an absolute dream come true for me, as I so much loved the soundtrack from the original film. I can not tell you anything more about the cast at this time.

We are set to start shooting in November in South Africa. I will miss you while I'm gone but don't worry I'll write while I'm away.

Corey Feldman on Reuniting The Frog Brothers in Lost Boys 3
Source: Robert Galluzzo
October 3, 2009

Last night at the Eyegore Awards, Corey Feldman walked the red carpet with Jamison Newlander, his co-star in Lost Boys 3, which shoots in South Africa next month.

First question we had to ask - will Lost Boys 3 continue from the alternate deleted ending of Lost Boys: The Tribe in which Alan Frog (Newlander) is a vampire? Or will it return both brothers to their roots as vampire hunters?

"We can’t give away that much information right now," teases Feldman. "All I can tell you is this is officially the return of the Frog Brothers."

"I’m really excited," adds Newlander. "Honestly, Feldman’s been a big advocate of bringing the Frog Brothers back together on the screen, and I think it’s going to be great. I think that’s what the fans wanted from the beginning was the two of us side by side."

"We’re going to annihilate some nightstalker ass," Feldman chimes in.

Now wait... Shock has to push Feldman on that last statement. If they're annihilating "nightstalker ass", is he implying that they're fighting vampires together?

"Well, he could be the nightstalker, or I could! You never know what’s going to happen. We can guarantee there will definitely be a lot of dead vampires in this movie." Fair enough. And nice save.

Feldman is taking on an exec producer credit on this next Lost Boys sequel. He elaborated a bit on his role behind the scenes for Lost Boys 3.

"We’ve gone through many stories. This is the ninth or tenth draft of the script at this point," he explains. "Really what I’ve been doing is listening to the fans and trying to give them exactly what they want. That’s what’s important to me. I know number one, they want to see the Frog Brothers."

Lastly, Corey seems to be very excited about his next project which will debut on-line later this month.

"I’m working on a brand new project with Roger Corman, Joe Dante and it’s being presented by Netflix, and it’s going to be the first live streaming webseries ever," he tells us.

"And it will premiering on Halloween weekend. And to see the first glimpse of this very exciting new project, right now because of this event, we put up a little clip on Netflix.com/Splatter."

More on the webseries and Lost Boys 3 when we hear it!

Feldman Leaving for Lost Boys 3: The Thirst Soon
Source: Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
October 27, 2009

Corey Feldman is still keeping mum about plot details for The Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, a follow-up to Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys and last year's direct-to-DVD sequel Lost Boys: The Tribe, but we did get him to bleed out a bit more info about the film this afternoon.

During our Splatter interview, the online series he stars in, Feldman revealed he leaves for South Africa next week to begin shooting. "This is going to be a good one," the actor said, "very big budget compared to the last one and the director's great."

At the helm this time? Dario Piana who directed The Deaths of Ian Stone.

"He does some really good stuff with CGI. There are a lot more effects on this one. A lot more fighting, stunts and wire work. And it's the return of the Frog brothers!"

After the events of Lost Boys 2, it was said that Corey Haim would not be returning to the franchise alongside long-time co-star Corey Feldman.

Movieweb broke some huge news this evening as they're reporting that Haim will in fact star alongside Feldman once again, only it won't be in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, which begins filming soon in Africa.

They report, "We just got back from chatting with Haim, who confirmed that he will not be participating in "Lost Boys 3: The Thirst" due to his very busy schedule. But he is in fact looking to come back for "LOST BOYS Part 4", in which Sam Emerson will play a huge part in the storyline..."

Exclusive : Phoenix talks Lost Boys 3
by Clint Morris
Friday, May 28th, 2010

The actress, who recently attached herself to a big-budget British Spy Film, beat a number of U.S actresses to play the lead role of in the second of "The Lost Boys" sequels.

''I went up against some interesting American actresses, but Warner Bros and the producers loved my audition - and the director, Dario Piana and I got on so well - that they decided on me for the lead.

"I had only seen the first film with Keifer Sutherland, and in its time, it was a classic, now I see it has cult status. The current Vampire phenomenon is amazing.

What I found very interesting about the 'Lost Boys' script was that it showcases Vampires how they really are, blood sucking and evil, which somewhat dances around the fact that 'Twilight' made their Vampires seem beautiful, but they really are not.

I wanted to play a bad girl, and I finally got my chance.
"

The 5'9 stunner will happily sing the praises of her legendary co-star Corey Feldman, who reprises his role as vampire hunter Edgar Frog in the film.

"Corey is very sweet. He takes his work seriously. But he is just a big kid!", Phoenix laughs.

"For the most part our characters don't gel in the script, so to play bad girl on set and then have that change of character and be our fun loving selves off set was interesting."

A bad guy must ultimately end up a little bruised and battered, right?

"The most physical I got was getting into skimpy outfits", Phoenix laughs, "In the film I play a Vampire novelist, I write romance stories about humans and Vampires, and My character is used to getting what she wants so she has other people doing things for her, naturally."
