Company will only accept resumes in .doc, txt. and pdf formats?? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Anyone know how I can get one of these formats?

They stated resumes can't be viewed in no other format.

.DOC: Microsoft Word *or* the word processor in OpenOffice

.TXT: Pretty much every word processor ever made - from Notepad and Wordpad to Word, OpenOffice - you name it.

.PDF: Adobe Acrobat.

I don't know if you have windows vista, but if you do be sure to save the file as Word 97-2003 Document (if you're going to save it as a .doc) because other types of windows, like windows XP, can't open the regular Word Document from Vista.

Just a little aside, because I know plenty of people here at school who have problems with that. Most students have windows vistas for their personal computers, and then they go to open the document in class that they sent to themselves through email for a presentation or something, and it won't open because the school computers are mostly XP.

Another tip is if you only have Microsoft Works Word Processor save any documents as Word 97-03 document.
