Sherman Hemsley's Hair
In the early seasons, did he frost it gray to make himself look older (as Sherman was only in his mid-30s when he began playing George)? Anyone know the real story because it didn't look gray later on in the Jeffersons' run or on Amen.

I never noticed this but you are right! How strange. Maybe they wanted him to look older and then when the Jeffersons started, they figured people wouldn't notice. The Amen crew probably didn't even know about it.
