LOS ANGELES — It's a girl for "Scooby-Doo" stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

The couple named their newborn daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze. A spokeswoman for the actress said the baby was born Saturday.

It is the first child for the acting duo, who first met in 1997 while filming "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and later married in 2002.

I have to admit that since the news broke of the new arrival. There has been a tremendious amount of google searches wanting to know more about Freddie Sr. So thank you for this wonderful news of Freddie Prinze becoming a grandfather. I am sure he is in pure delight up in Heaven

In light of the happy occasion I have ordered flowers to be sent to Freddie tomorrow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

On the card I wrote, "Congratulations on becoming a grandfather!"

Congrats to Freddie Jr and Sarah on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl. Hats off to Michelle for officially changing her name to Prinze so they all have the same last name. Family..that's what it's all about.
