Once again I see that we are at a very slow period. I have already gone through quite a few pages and seen extremely few new posts. Because of this, I will resort to my old routine about writing about a "Sesame Street" routine that pertains to the number of views of my last post. This time, the number is 21. I remember a time in which Ernie recited a poem about the number 21. While he was reading aloud, the number one and two kept changing places. Because of this, the number in front of him kept rotating from being 12 and 21! Because of this, he kept changing the words to the poem. After I post this, I think that I will go over to "Youtube" and see if that skit has been uploaded. Bye!

Okay, now this really was off subject of GAB. Ernie is the funniest muppet, but what does it have to do with this show?

In order to understand what this post has to do with "Gimme a Break!" you have to be able to think outside of the box! You see, very often I start threads that get views but no responses. After I post them, I watch what is happening on the board for a few days. After a few days, the number of veiws of my thread tends to stagnate for weeks or even months. It is like anything else in that the novelty wears off. One way that I try to liven things up and perhaps stimulate some conversation is by thinking of a "Sesame Street" routine that has to do with whatever number is the number of views that my last post has. In this case the number was twenty-one and it made me think of a poem recited by Ernie. When I cannot think of a song or skit about that number or if I have already depleted all that I can remember, "Youtube" helps me out. It is really all just for fun!

Threads concerning show content that ask a question or express an opinion always have the potential to start a conversation among fans. But unfortunately not every observation gets a response, not every question gets an answer. Some shows are quickly forgotten and by and large there just isn't anybody interested in talking about them anymore. But thread after thread about site traffic? I'm trying to think of something to liken it to...and I can't. It doesn't advance the conversation in any meaningful way, in fact if it does so at all it's in quite an artificial way. |

Over on the "Mad About You" page, I managed to start some very interesting conversation by making a "Sesame Street" tie-in. I am wondering if the same thing will happen here! However, I decided that, rather than try to think of anything new to say about "Sesame Street" this time I would just bring this old thread up to the top. Let us see what will happen this time around!

One number that I have really bleed dry with my anologies is twenty-one! It has just happened that this is a number of views that my threads that get no responses tend to stagnate at. I do not know if there is any rhyme nor reason. In any event, my last such attempt was on the "Friends" page and it is called "Poetry Hour". I am sorry for the typographical error in the title! The last time I checked this thread had six views and zero replies. In any event, I can now see that my last thread on this page also has twenty-one views and zero responses! I figured that rather than starting a whole new thread to commemorate this event, I would just bring this one up to the top. |
