I like both for certain reasons
Multi camera: Depends on the laugh track, its great with there's an audience, like Seinfeld, but some shows the audeinces go way crazy like Happy Days , Im surprised Henry never had his clothes ripped off him by screaming girls! Single camera : You can do a lot more, shoot on locations instead of just a set, and you can do plotlines that arent as simple too. Seinfeld couldve probably been the first single cam sitcom, but the laugh track works there! Laugh track: It's great but like i said, gets out of hand, sometimesi t gets annoying when it goes on every millisceond . cI do love Big Bnag theory thoughNo laugh track: The viewer can decide what's funny, and not what the producers of the show put in there, or when the audience is there in the studio |

I will always prefer multi-camera, just because it's what I like better. It's traditional, it's what I'm used to watching. And for the most part, it's funnier, at least IMO. I mean, maybe I'm just not getting the humor, but after watching Community, I didn't laugh out loud once. And this was a comedy that was supposed to be laugh-out-loud funny.
Meanwhile, I watch an episode of Big Bang Theory or Old Christine and I'm constantly laughing. I guess single-cam comedies just don't do it for me. |

I like Mulit-Camera Comedies Much better than sinigle camera. There is only a few single camera shows that i acually like ("Arrested Devlopment", "My Name Is Earl", "Worst Week" , Proballly "Modern Family", Probally "The Middle"), where the list for multi-Camera shows that i rely enjoy just goes on and on and on (Everybody Loves Raymond, Two And A Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, The King Of Queens, Married... With Children, Yes Dear, Seinfeild")

Yeah, single-cams just don't get me laughing. They rely a lot on the awkwardness of the characters, whereas multi-cams rely on the jokes and the characters. I'm hoping the acception to this will be Modern Family and The Middle, since I'm looking forward to both.

don't care either way - the writing and performances are more important

Multi-Camera with live audience it just seems so fun.
Laugh Track-I don't mind it, it makes it seem as though there is an audience. I grew up with these and I guess I don't like change. |

I honestly don't give a damn as long as it's a good show. However, I will say that laugh track/multi cam sitcoms are just cozier and I do tend to prefer them. But at the same time, if I think the show is good I think the show is good and I'm not going to determine that based on whether or not it has a laugh track/multi cam. My favorite current sitcom is 30 Rock, for instance.

I prefer multi camera comedies. They tend to be shot in front of a live audience and I enjoy that immediate response that a live audience provides. I also think a live audience helps the performers stay in the moment and give a better performance. It's basically live theater with cameras and live theater is my favorite entertainment form. Multi-camera is the closest thing to that on TV and is therefore my personal preference. I'm not a huge fan of the laugh track but I do feel it serves a purpose.
