Post Today's cartoons suck

today's cartoons will never live up to the greats of years past...bugs, tweety, scooby, sylvester, tom & jerry, road runner, etc. will always be better than the garbage that comes out today.....

I would never call todays cartoons garbage. I like most of them actually. Of course I don't mean to say I actually watch cartoons like the new Goofy or the new Mickey Mouse or the new Donald Duck. Even though I'm sure, in their own way, they are fine cartoons, they are not the originals. I like Ren and Stimpy and in my opinion nothing can top Gargoyles.

However,it is true that those older toons had a little something that todays cartoons don't have and could never expect to have. As I said, the new versions of the Disney characters are not the originals. But that era has obviously past.

I guess my point really is that the old cartoons are in a class all their own and the new ones are too. If you try to favor one over another that is great. But you are likely to be disappointed.

Moving away from the age difference, I personally like all kinds of cartoons. But I don't like every cartoon. It has to grab me. Oh well.

At last, I know not the only one who thinks today's cartoons (Sans R&S and Gargoyles) stink.

Man, classic carttons and their current revivals are like classic game shows and their current revivals. They're just not as good... And the new ones *shudders*
