Default Not Sure why the Audience Laughed after Keith made this statement

"The Doctor said I can play football again but if I get one good hit in this knee I may never walk straight again"

What was funny about that?

No, they always had a live audience. Honestly, there should be a drinking game for the show whenever someone in the audience goes "right on!"

Ok, I watched this episode last night and I do not think that the audience laughed. I believe that it was a low grumble rather than laughter. Now, I did hear like 2 people chuckle but not the whole audience.

Yeah it was some laughter not the entire audience. Plus Ben Powers looked like he struggled not to laugh when he said the line-lol

I still can't believe the "JJ trip" would mess his knee up the way it did. Not the way he fell over. He had to have hurt the knee while playing, not tripping over one's knee at a wedding.

Just imagine you being the age you are right now at the start of the 79-80 season and you watch the first 4 eps and think that Thelma is going to move out and then you see Keith Fall lose his chance to play football then you see J.J lose his job and everyone is under the same roof. Wouldn't you have stopped watching?

I believe I would have stopped watching. Hell, I hated the 5th season!

BTW, that was 78-79 season.
