I think Freddie was somewhat of a perfectionist and he had a strong work ethic so I suppose slackers might bother him. Thoughts from anyone else?

Good question and good answer.
I have been racking my brain on this one since I first read this topic A great topic that makes you really think and wonder.... From what I have read Freddie was always in a hurry. He ate fast, he drove fast. Never enough hours in the day really, it seemed for Freddie. I may be off topic, but I am guessing Freddie was always wanting something at the spur of the moment, always on the go. When he set his mind on something, he took the chance and persued it |

I wonder if He hated discrimination, trouble making, ignorance, people not understanding you and judging you when they don't realize what you're going through............... making you idol promises when they promised to be there for you and pushed you away making you feel worse about yourself when you are in a bad place/situation in your life (kicking you when you're down). ON A side note: How many of you ladies have come out with your claws when someone dissed (insulted) Freddie Prinze to you? My father did recently to me and my mother. I have a serious autoimmune disorder and just got out of the hospital for an episode/flare. I could die, and Freddie Prinze makes me happy. My father said I waste time on this "*****". I will not say the word He used. I have never hated anyone more in my life at this moment than I do my father- He's been a perpetual a**hole over the years to everyone dispite all the chances people have given Him. Let me just say He's the lowest piece of sh*t out there, to not only take stabs at His daughter (Me) - but a dead man who died a tragic death, and is someone I find comfort in. (I got even- severely........ so no worries there. His abuse is done now). I would just like to know where they all come from. It's bad enough to be mean to me- but when you take stabs at Freddie- I will rip your juglar vein out and spit you out and spit on you when I'm done. I'm tired of ignorant, uncaring people in this world. Not only do they have no respect for the living, they disrespect the dead. Anyways, some people may find this stupid- but honestly, some things are unnacceptable to me- that is one, as well as what I wrote above, and have wondered if Freddie ever felt that way as well. On a less disgruntled note: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. PS: I have to laugh at my signature- makes me look like a hypocrite!! |

Good for you.......... As a fan of Freddie's when I first discovered him back in the 70's when he first appeared on the Johnny Carson show and Johnny called him over to his desk I followed this man's career from the beginning. I have always stood up for Freddie. He was a lost soul but a talented guy. I went through the horror of his death and for many, many years I felt that the guy went through so much and died at the tender age of 22. Plus as a fan.... not knowing whatever happen to Freddie Jr? burned through my soul. Thanks to the good Lord now I know where Jr. is. and his little Charlotte who has the same name as my own granddaughter. Such is life........

Part of it is my fault for knowing what He's like and going there. Shame on Me. He'd find fault with Jesus Christ- and did once. Yes....
I think that's great you got so much time to follow Freddie's career- all of it. I was being born in the 70's and only recently discovered. There's nothing like time- it's precious. I remember your comment on your granddaughter's same name. I guess it's that lovely synchronicity that I think everyone who loves Freddie Prinze Sr. shares with Him and with eachother who feel the same about Him, And He knows I believe Who feels this way and that's why it happens. I believe everyone you meet/know and really love you always share and carry a part of their energy somehow. -Andrea |

Hope things go better for ya. That's bad how you did did ya. I've had folks say how can I like a dead man or he's a dead guy or he's a nut for killing himself. They just don't understand. I liked the show back in the 70's but wasn't into him. The re-runs on Tvland got me hooked on him & the show. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yes mmy family is the same way, why do you like that guy, how come you still like him he's dead and he killed himself yadda, yadda, yadda... well i have been dealing with depression on and off for years, more on than off lately i'm afraid and i have been very low at times and even thought about the end....that was when i realized i needed to see a Dr. But i have often wondered how terrible he must have struggled, i know that he did, but then i remind myself, and i believe this with my whole heart, Freddie did not mean to kill himself, it was a cry for help, a means to get attention, probably the help he needed and couldn't ask for himself, unfortunately the drugs clouded his thinking and he didn't realize the safety wasn't on, as it had been on other occasions. If you think about it, according to her book, Maria said he called her for help, he knew she was on the way, she'd told him as much, he loved her so much, he would never have killed himself, if for no other reason, than to keep his beloved Ma from finding him that way when she arrived. Does that make sense. I know that's what stopped me when i was considering it. just my thoughts. so when people say he was stupid for offing himself or whatever i do my best to explain it as i see it, and remind them that no one but Freddie and God know how hurt he was, what he was going through so we aren't to judge |

As for Freddie........ He had so much going for him but at the end he was heartbroken. He couldn't get himself out of that darkness. He needed help but it never came for him. He is always remembered though.

I have been dealing with depression off and on for years and was recently diagnosed with it. I would love to have some sort of meds or therapy for it, But I do not have insurance. So I am dealing with it naturally I came very close a couple a months ago wanting to attempt "the end" by having several crush pills in my Hand! Then many things came to me like how I was going to cause havic with my father who as most of you know lost my mom over 3 years ago. And also I feel Freddie would not wanted it to happen as I emailed Isaac in regards to wanting to talk to someone whom I could trust at the time. He called me right away. I did not tell him I was in the verge of what I wanted to do. Since he had gone through all of that with Freddie. Yet he was there to listen, gave me some helpful advice and even got me to laugh at the end of our conversation. If you ever need to talk Joy im me okay and if you want my number let me know. |

First off, Thank You Cheryl for your post to me. Things have gotten better- example, Me and My family had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner with dressing, cranberries, turkey; My father sat alone in his room eating crow
Second, I sat with horrid contemplation of repeated insult (My father insults me over something He's ignorant about and I come here complaining, further more potentially insulting other members from HIS ignorance). For this, I am truely sorry. As for what we feel for freddie- until people pay our bills--------- then can they tell us what to feel----------- or walked a mile in our shoes. My posts belong on The Jerry Springer Forum with accidents, and dysfunctional family members aggravating me driving me into this abyss that you all describe on top of my other problems. I am sorry for any emotional incest- so to say that I am guilty of, but if in my distress it causes another member's pain to surface and granted support and open love for that individual- then so be it and I'm glad for you. I hope in my problems here- while I'm unhelped and fear I cause more problems, for Freddie's sake, and many of the kind folk here I would not want to see suffer, I hope for you truth, love and support and your pain eases. -Andrea |

So glad things are going better for ya. Glad Suzanne had Isaac to talk to. I still have my depression. It was such a shock losing Mike from a sudden heart attack that I feel sometimes like he never existed & was just a good dream, one that ended too soon. I go in and out of not believing he is gone and then suddenly realizing he is gone and going all to pieces. I want him back so bad. Maybe the reason I latched on to Freddie was he had depression too like I do. Wish he and I could talk now. I know he'd be a comfort about Mike. But I never knew Freddie...
