Default posts are gone?

I'm curious if this has happened to anybody else. i'll post in a thread in the morning and when i go back to look at it later in the day it is gone, it doesn't show on the page. Or i'll go to reply in a thread and the post is displayed in the section where it shows the previous posts from the thread but it is not visable when i'm actually viewing the page. what gives?

This sounds like a browser or cookies issue. I don't know which browser you use but if you use Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Browing History and where it says check for newer versions of stored pages check every time I visit the webpage.

You could also try logging out and logging back in.

Do you have some specific examples where you've posted and the posts have disappeared?

Posts get deleted and moved all the time. If a spammer gets globally ignored, then you wouldn't see the thread.

One example is in the "Create A Network" thread in the general sitcoms forum, i'll post in that thread and then when i go back to look at it the posts from the last day or so are gone. When i refresh the page they reappear, it's odd.

But i tried what you said to do and i'll see if that works.

Definitely a browser and cache issue if you have to refresh. You could also try deleting your temporary internet files.

the problem i was having seems to be fixed now that i did what TJ said and changed my settings to "check for newer version of pages"... that fixed everything.

Tools -------> Internet Options -----> Browsing History ----> check for newest version of stored pages is how you fix it. that is if you are using Internet Explorer.

you have to go to TOOLS on your browers, up in the area where file and edit are... click on TOOLS, then internet options, followed by browsing history and then check for newest version of page. this is if you are using Internet explorer.

no, your browser. the thing you use to open the internet. At the top of the screen where it says "file", "edit", "view", favorites", "tools" and "help"----below the bar where you type in internet addresses and above where the tabs of webpages show up.
