TMNT might return in reruns. You are not telling the truth. I know that TMNT's contract is not torn up. USA Network I think has it...

I've heard USA, and I've heard that Cartoon Network wants it.

Yes, Cartoon Network has the rights, but the show is so unpopular that they don't want to use it.

Unpopular??? It is very much wanted by everyone to air on cable!
I don't think Cartoon Network would just not air it. If they have rights they would for sure air it.

I too have never heard of this show being unpopular. And why would they just not use a show if they own the rights? That wouldn't make sense.

Ok, eher's the deal. In 1998, CN aired a 48 hour long Super Chunk marathon of it. After the they got the rights to a few japanese shows, and forgot about TMNT. They have the rights, but cannot find the timesplot to fit it in.

It's a past fad.
When one show is popular, then another one comes along, all the kids instantly start to HATE the one they formerly were obsessed with.

First it was TMNT...
Then it was the Power Rangers (barf)...
Now it's POKEMON (double barf.)

Did you guys know there will be another TMNT movie coming out next year or in 2003 (I'm not sure). John Woo will be directing it and it is going to be in CGI, like the movie Final Fantasy. But unlike the the way cheesy and corny cartoon, it's going to be more raw and hardcore like in the comic books. Before it was a cartoon, they were a comic book and they were much more violent. I'd like to see Leonardo use his kitana blades for something else than cutting a pizza and saying "Cowabunga dudes, Let's get the Shredder!"
