I think there should be a rule that a player has to be retired for 5 years before he can become an analyst. I think they have to be away from the game for a period of time before they are capable of being objective.

I agree Marv. I think it should be like the HOF rule, for baseball etc. You have to be out of the league like 5/6 years, to be eligible for the HOF. The same should be, except not for the HOF in this case, but to be a sportscaster or an analyst for the sport. What do you think? We should protest and petition that to the NFL Offices lol.

It would certainly be fun to see how the league would react if we petitioned them for this rule change. It certainly makes sense to me.

It would be, I agree as well. I also would want to have a rule within that rule, that you would of had to play so many games or years, to be eligible in the first place anyway. I say that because their is some Indian former-NFL player on ESPN in the mornings, that I never heard of. I'm pretty sure he only played like one year or two. We have to at least know who you are, I would say lol.
