Hey Dude was my favorite show on Nickelodeon in the early 90's. I loved Christine Taylor, I thought that she was extremly talented. Salute Your Shorts was Ok. It was kind of stupid, and the character weren't that good. Welcome Freshman was Ok too. Unlike Salute Your Shorts, some of the characters were boring.

Hey Dude! Seriously, Brad used to be like my role-model. She was so cool, cooler than Jo Polniaczek even. Ha!
And I used to think Kyle was so cute, even though Ted was cooler... by far.

Hey Dude, my favorite Nick show ever!! I did watch Salute Your Shorts, Welcome Freshmen, and Clarissa Explains it All. I was between 10 and 13 when I watched these. These weren't classic tv by any means but were descent shows for Nick. At my height of liking Hey Dude my local cable station was renewing it's contract with the company that owns Nick, VH1, and MTV. The local religious conservatives put up a big fuss about MTV and it "corrupting the youth of Frankfort". If they got rid of MTV we would lose the other two. I remember being very upset that if we lost Nick I wouldn't be able to watch Hey Dude anymore. The dimwits of Frankfort politics lost out and I got to continue watching Hey Dude. I'm even more thankful now because I've watched N@N consistently ever since MTM and Happy Days came.

OMG I LOVE HEY DUDE!! i use to watch the show all the time, i still see the person who plays ted on tv, he is on sabrina and use to be on two of a kind!! but that was the greatest show, i was a lot younger when it first air, 4 actully but i remember the show, i cant believe i use to think buddy was soo cute(he and zack morris were my first crushes...lol)

"ITS A LITTLE WILD AND A LITTLE STRANG WHEN MAKE YOUR HOME ON THE RANGE..." HEHE

SALUTE your shorts was an intresting show but it was so dumb it was funny, in science the other day a boy was like making fun of this other kid and he called him donkey lips i was craking up with him...

welcome freshman another good show, i think that nick should show these old shows instead of those weird cartoons(except for rocket power, thats a good show) like, pelswick, and those other weird ones they now show!

Thumbs up

!WOW! Talk about bringing back some memories. I used to watch "Salute Your Shorts" and "Hey Dude" every Sunday afternoon. Along with "Clarissa Explains It All", "Pete and Pete", "What Would You Do", and many more! I actually kinda miss them now that you bring it back up again... NICK used to have some pretty good shows...now there's just sorry cartoons.

Will someone please refresh my memory and remind me of what "Welcome Freshman" was about? I'm sure I've seen it...I'm just drawing a blank at the moment!

I went on a search today for some of my old Nickelodeon shows and ended up digging up episodes of Pete and Pete, Clarissa, Roundhouse, R U Afraid Of The Dark, and Ren and Stimpy.
