Default Post Office Help!!!!!! I want my Laptop-lol

I purchased a laptop from someone in Chicago on Ebay like a FOOL and it was mailed on Thursday, 9/3, 2-3 day priority and with the holiday being Monday, do you think it's a chance I can get it by Saturday?

I can't seem to get anyone normal on the phone at USPS and I know it's like 20 hours driving from Chicago to Philly. I blame myself for not choosing a seller on the eastcoast

Any suggestions on a Post Office Message Board?

If it was mailed on 9/3 by priority mail then you should've received it by now holiday or no holiday.

Well I am taking into consideration that it left the post office on Friday, Monday the Post Office was closed and Chicago is not close to Philly.

Now if it was NYC then yes. But if I don't get by Saturday I'm opening up a dispute through paypal.

I think you should get by at least Saturday. Lately USPS has been slacking on priority shippings. Just recently I ordered some textbooks for two classes I'm taking and it five days to be delieved to me.

I think you have to wait at least 30 days before you can open a dispute with Paypal. This was the rule at one time but I'm not sure if it still is. Did you get a tracking # by any chance?

The a$$hole was supposed to mail it right after I paid for it on 8/28/09. It should have been shipped 8/31, that Monday, but instead it wasn't mailed until 9/3, Thursday. So whether the laptop is in good shape or not he is getting negative feedback. Also I will open up a dispute on Friday evening if it doesn't come. Not even waiting until saturday

I believe that is still the rule.

I sold a laptop on Ebay over the Memorial day weekend and the guy still recieved his laptop within 4 days. You should have asked the guy for a tracking number.

Just wait to see if you receive it over the weekend. A lot of the time people do not mail things on time.

No you have 45 days from the day of purchase and in my case it was 8/28/09 and tomorrow is 9/10. I have a tracking number but priority is not trackable, only first class

I was just thinking that if he used Paypal and paid for priority shipping then he should have received an e-mail from Paypal with the tracking # once the label was purchased. The only exception would be if the seller didn't ship the item using Paypal shipping.

Well that is why he getting feedback because he lied and said it was mailed on 9/1/09 when it was mailed 9/3/09. I blame mself for not looking for a seller in NJ, PA, DE, or NYC. That's what I normally do so why the f*CK didn't I do it this time with something this major?

Ok, that sounds more like it but since when is priority not trackable? I've never had a problem with it.

This is the main reason why when I sell things on Ebay, I always send the buyer their tracking number no matter what if they asked for it or not.

With priority mail you can't see what state it;s in for some odd reason. When I put the tracking number in it just brings up the same message which is the shipping date, 9/3
