Smile Brian Forster (Chris Partridge): Then And Now!

Brian Forster - the great great grandson of author Charles Dickens, by the way - took on the role of Chris Partridge in 1971, replacing Jeremy Gelbwaks who left the show because his parents moved to another state. Gee, thanks mom and dad!

Great pic.

The Partridge Family telepic "C'Mon Get Happy" seemed to imply that Gelbwaks was let go because of his behavior and because Cassidy and Bonaduce didn't much care for him.

But wikipedia seems to agree with the above reason. Dang, that's not a very juicy reason!

From everything I've read, seen, and heard I get the impression that if Jeremy Gelbwaks family hadn't moved he would have been replaced anyway for the reasons you mentioned.

Supposedly, he also had the stage mother of all stage mothers.

Brian Forster looks great! He's hardly changed at all since The Partridge Family.

Brian Foster looks great.

I understand now both David Cassidy and Danny Bonaduche get along well with Jeremy Gelbwaks.

Well, why wouldn't they? He was only 6 or 7 years old when he left PF. He's an adult now! By the way, I think he was included in the reunion on the Danny Bonaduce Show, along with Brian, Suzanne Crough and even Ricky Segall. Or was that another occasion? Also TVLAnd, (Back when it was a fun network) showed Brian and Jeremy together in some sort of spoof.

I think it was actually the Nick-at-Nite 1993 Classic TV Countdown that first brought Jeremy & Brian together. I have tapes of most of the countdown somewhere. Two years later they appeared together on the premiere ep of Danny Bonaduce's talk show, which had a Partridge Family reunion.
