I Just Wanted To Let You Guys Know - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've been debating on whether or not to make a thread about this, but after some encouragement from Janice, I decided to go ahead and do it.

A few weeks ago I started seeing a therapist again. She diagnosed me with serious depression and anxiety disorders. She said that it's possible that I will occasionally have bipolar episodes. I explained to her that I had acted completely out of character several times lately, and she said adjusting my meds would help.

The reason I haven't said anything yet is because I know a few people are upset with me for the way I acted and probably won't believe me or want to forgive me again. Honestly, I don't blame them. I'm trying very hard to get back to my old self, and it has taken some time, but I'm getting there.

To anyone that I've hurt in the past, my sincerest apologies. It was never my intention to act that way and I really feel bad about it. I know I've had to ask for forgiveness before, but I want you to know that I'm being straight up honest with you guys, nothing fake about it. I have not been myself for the past few months and I didn't want to admit that I was having problems. I didn't want to be a failure, but when I started hurting people I care about, I knew I needed help.

I hope you guys can forgive me and know that I'm trying my hardest to work through this.

It's rough, and good for you for getting help for it. I haven't seen you do anything wrong, personally. Best of luck with everything, though. You're a great person.

I haven't noticed that you've seemed different.

Hopefully these therapy sessions will help you feel better. I'm seeing a new therapist in a week and a half. I'm cynical about it, but these PMS weeks are driving me crazier than I already feel. Plus, I need to deal with my anger and my fears.

I'm sorry about what you are going. I also deal with depression and anxiety problems. I only go to therapy once a month and I take meds. Just be open and honest with people and they will understand.

I know the feeling well, Lu. With prayer, meds and therapy I feel better. I have a way to go but admitting you need help is half the battle right there. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

I really admire you for being so open and honest about what you have been going through. I'm glad that your therapist is helping you and that your meds have been properly adjusted. As always you continue to be in my prayers.

I admire your honesty as well. I know this must be hard for you to talk about and please know that anytime you need to talk, vent, whatever... there's always someone here for you!

Lauren sweetie, I also haven't noticed anything different about you (but then again, I've never met you personally-but I hope to sometime!) but good luck with the therapist and everything. Admitting that something's wrong is half the battle. I feel better about my H.S.P. since I started talking about it on here.
