no not the song
im talkin bout how the cast looked like evry day people. ne 1 ever notice that? all the shows u c 2day the actors look 2 perfect, 2 fake. on aitf the cast looked like ordinary people u'd meet in the street. i think thats 1 reason y so many could relate 2 them. i also liked how they wore the same clothes over & over again instead of having a never ending wardrobe.

With Mike and Gloria living there and having to deal with things like brown outs and having an affordable meat like horse in an episode, you make a very good point. But here's a thought too...that perfect look may have something to do with digital. We can now see more brilliantly than ever and if these looks don't hold up during the dailies, who knows? Maybe they go through on the final cuts and make sure things are right for the actors and actresses and such and fix those issues via computer.
In those days life was much more simple and the pressures aren't quite like they are now but even if a modernized version of AITF popped up, I would think something like wearing the same outfits would be important to let the viewer get the idea of how hard it was for the Bunker clan to make ends meet. |
