Post What things that happen off-screen....

...would you have loved to have seen? I'm not going for fan fiction or spin-offs, here, but rather, things that we know happened because a character talks about them - but we'd like to hear more. Some of mine:
  • Rose's conversation with "a very nice receptionist at NBC" when she's trying to reach Bob Hope in "You Gotta Have Hope"
  • Dorothy's dinner with her boyfriend Ken's circus friends (Love Under the Big Top)
  • Rose and Miles' date the night following his revelations about the witness protection program
  • Miles and his friends at the party after Rose leaves (Portrait of a Woman)
  • Rose talking to distraught people at the counseling center (She says in "Take Him, He's Mine" that she's no good at it and has the highest suicide rate

I would have liked to see Rose be the "Express line detective".

Which episode was that from? In "The Way We Met" she does all that correcting of the clerk's mistake when they're checking out - but we do see it.

It was just a casual reference. Rose says she has to go grocery shopping but hates doing so because nobody at the store likes her (or something to that effect). Dorothy says if Rose didn't play express line detective it wouldn't be so bad. Rose says something to effect of, "You expect me to standby when somebody browsing the TV guide in the line tosses it on top of their ten items?"

I would like to see Rose the Express Lane Dectective at the supermarket where I used to work. People coming (or attempting to come through my line) with shopping carts full of groceries. Yeah. Most of the time it happeed was when I was busy with another customer and don't notice them unloading a shopping cart full of groceries. We had giant size signs hanging from the celing that read "EXPRESS LANE 12 ITEMS OR LESS".

Worse was working at Walmart. Certain supervsors/bosses said take every customer in your line even if you were at the line with the sign that said Quick Check Out 10 Items or Less. The 2 Express Lanes are also the only lanes where a customer is allowed to purchase cigarettes, so customers think that entitles them to come through the Express Lane with a cart full of merchandise.

Miles jumping out of the airplane (trying to grab a cow as it got larger while he was falling), Freida Claxton's big beautiful oak tree, Blanche in bed with a man (I guess she was all talk! LOL), the town of St. Olaf (they're only a few miles away in the horse and buggy at night and have to turn around and go back).
