Ditto to that. *sigh of relief*

In any case, how can you reject your own parent's friend request anyway? ;-)

My mom joined facebook before Xmas last year. But she mostly lurks, and doesn't post stupid things to embarrass me and my sibs. It's all good, because I don't care. She does ask me about some of the people who frequently post comments on my page, though.

I would be sooooo embarrassed if my dad joined FB, though. He's one of the types who barely knows how to use a computer. I mean, he does, but he's not a recreational surfer.

My parents know about social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace but they don't care to join them. One of my cousins has teenage boys and she joined Facebook mostly to lurk on her sons but she also has their passwords. A few of my friends' moms have joined Facebook and MySpace but they only post comments once in awhile.

IMO, facebook and myspace is lame but what's even more lame is when your parents like to be 16 again and join. I seriously would be embarrassed if they used it for real.
