This guy was an animal and there was excuse for it. Yes his father ran out on him and his family but that does not excuse his being leader of a gang and being a public menace and shooting someone. I so wanted James to give this thug a good needed ass kicking.

I did not blame his mother. Here she was trying to raise her family alone and this piece of garbabe was doing nothing but giving her grief instead of helping her.

I think we were suppose to feel sorry for the guy. If he returned in another episode he probably would have changed. Seems to go that way in tv land, they like happy endings.

It would have been interesting to see the 'Mad Dog' character appear in other episodes- maybe they could have developed his character or something along the way (even with a few more semi-serious storylines). He had potential to be a rather deep personality imo. Wonder what ever became of that guy?
