I always wondered that for the longest. Was it a Roper thing, or did Norman Fell did that as an add-lib?

Those biography shows always seem to succeed in only talking about the "bad" things that happened. Kind of ruins a show/actor's reputation a little in the mind of those who loved it so much

Pretty Much, the only thing new I noticed from watching it was the producers feeling Suzanne Somers was too old to be Chrissy and Fred Silverman was the one who wanted her on the show after seeing her on The Tonight Show

Which brings me to my next question. I made a thread about this in the past, so I wil ask again. Would the camera mug would have worked for Mr. Furley?

No it wouldn't have worked because Furley was already too GOOFY. See Roper was a serious type of Guy and what made the Mug shot funny was seeing his SILLY SIDE. Furley was silly from the door so it wouldn' have been the same
