Confused Rumer Willis doesn't believe she owes her acting career success to her famous parents

http://gabbybabble.celebuzz.com/2009...e-day-192.html

“You can’t do anything about who your parents are. I think everyone has opportunities and everyone has doors that are open to them in different ways.

If you’re talented you’ll get work. If you suck then you won’t. In the end, talent is all that matters because you could go and get an audition, but if you go in there and you suck you’re not going to get a job.”

~Rumer Willis defends her acting career success and doesn’t believe it’s because of her famous parents Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.

Maybe if you're talented you'll get work and if you suck then you won't but having 2 famous movie star parents sure open up a lot of doors. Nobody would have heard of her if it wasn't for them.

Um...Jake Busey, Peter Fonda, Jane Fonda. All half ass actors that got in only because of who their parent(s) were. Same could be said for athletes.

If she thinks having Bruce Willis and Demi Moore for parents wasn't an advantage to her career she is fooling herself. I understand she wants people to think she's a talented actress not just someone who got into the business because of nepotism. But to dismiss her famous parents as a factor is naive on her part. They definitely opened doors for her. If she has a successful career once she goes through those doors that will be evidence of her talent. And she won't have to tell everyone about it, it will speak for itself.

I wouldn't call Jane Fonda a half ass actor. She's won 2 Oscars and starred in many top movies at least into the 1980's. I will agree though that being Henry Fonda's daughter opened a lot of doors for her however.

All well said, I am sure Rumer is a talented actress and works hard, but there is advantages for having parents in the industry.

That's just my personal opinion. I considered her to be average at best, and even that is pushing it in my opinion. In my opinion, Peter is worse than Jane and Jake Busey is worse than both.

I agree. I think she's an incredibly talented actress, and you don't win Oscars by being talentless. I also think that Peter has acting chops as well.

I doubt Rumer is that talented of an actress. The only reason she's employed is because of her last name.

And there are plenty of brilliant aspiring actors out there that just can't get a break... they're waiting to be discovered. Rumer's an idiot. So many actors never get the chance to go to the auditions that she takes for granted.

I think Rumer has potential to do well in the business. But she did get an advantage in the business because of her parents.

I wish the actors and actresses who did "suck" wouldn't get work, but amazingly they're still around. And they just keep on going and going...

They're like zombies with agents and publicists.

I guess she wants to be appreciated for her talents and not for who her parents are. Wow, she's very pretty. I haven't seen a picture of her for a long time, but you can definitely tell that she's Demi and Bruce's daughter. I see a little bit of both of them in her.

You think so? I really think she got the worst features from both parents.
