I just finished watching this episode and it's one of my favorites so far. This is the one where Beaver's class is having a "Take your pet to school" day and he's embarrassed to be the only one who doesn't have one. So he tells everyone that he has a parrot. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but I laughed more during this episode than a lot of others I've seen.

I was really surprised to hear June singing "I'll Never Smile Again." Wow, Barbara Billingsley had a beautiful singing voice! Just amazing!

The line that had me

was when Ward told June that they first heard that song when they were at a corner table in a San Francisco restaurant and June says "We were never in San Francisco" and Ward says "Oh yeah.." and walks off!

The ending of the show was so sweet with Beaver and Ward talking in the living room. I loved that scene!!!

I think this episode is now one of my favorites. I've been taping these on my DVR and I still have like 30 of them left to watch, so I'm WAY far behind. But they are fun, and I'm sure eventually they'll start reshowing the episodes again. I can't tell if they are showing them in order, but it doesn't really matter to me right now.

I saw that episode last week. Beaver always gets that look on his face when he is about to lie. Poor Ward, he had to go out late at night and get that parrot.
