Default Which episode was this? Or did I dream it up!?

I grew up watching Family Ties, and recently I remembered a particular episode that I thought was hilarious at the time and has stuck with me all these years. However, I cannot find the name of it anywhere! I'm begining to wonder if I have the wrong sitcom in mind entirely, or worse, if my mind is sprouting memories of nonexistant events....

Was there an episode involving the Bush/Dukakis election of 88, where Alex was giving the rest of his family a hard time due to Dukakis losing? The rest of the family was sitting around the table looking glum while Alex was celebrating. I have this image in my mind of Alex carrying around a George HW Bush picture covered with party streamers or something, LOL. Please tell me I didn't just dream this up somehow because that would say strange things about my brain

It happened. I'd have to look up the episode title though. It aired on the first episode after the election. It was in the tag at the beginning of the episode. They filmed 2 versions...one with Bush winning and one with Dukakis winning and aired the Bush one after he won.

Yes, that was in an episode. I looked through the episode guide, but I can't find in which episode it was. Now I want to know as well.

I'd like to see it, too. Guessing by the timing, it had to have been in the last season.

I believe the FT episode that this is in is called Truckers. It aired on November 13, 1988. The Presidential election was on November 8th.
