The Replacement Character and the Replacee Character in the same Episode? When Steve Rhodes left and was replaced bt Jefferson and then he returned. Any other sitcom have this?

Was Going to say Three's Company with Cindy and Chrissy but since Chrissy was in a phone scene I don't think it counts

You could kinda say Cindy and Terry from Three's Company, because Terry was kinda the replacement for Terry, although Cindy was just a placeholder character.

On Home Improvement, they had Pam Anderson and Debbe Dunning in the same episode, I think either the season 5 or 6 finale.

In Roseanne, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke were in the same episode, I think the season 8 finale, although they were playing the same character.

Barbarino came back to Welcome Back, Kotter when that dude Beau was on there. I haven't seen Soap in a while, but wasn't Saunders in the same episode as Benson? I can't recall when Benson left Soap, he came back to visit and him and Saunders were in the same ep.

When Ron Howard made a return visit to Happy Days as Ritchie Cunningham I believe he appeared on screen with Roger Phillips played by Ted McGinley.

The Andy Griffith Show episode "The Fun Girls" featured both Gomer and Goober Pyle. George Lindsey would later replace Jim Nabors when Gomer joined the Marines. This was the only time the two characters appeared together in the same episode.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one.

Got another one - in The Drew Carey Show, Christa Miller (Kate) and Cynthia Watros (Kellie) appeared in the same episode - it was Kate's last and Kellie's first I believe.

bo and luke duke appeard n 6th season premier of dukes of hazzard when coy n vance was n same episode n left as well in that episode does that count

After Ted left Hey Dude, he was replaced by Jake. Later on Ted visited for an episode and didn't like Jake for replacing him. Of course a few episodes later Ted returned full time to the show.

On Becker, Nancy Travis(Chris) appeared in a few episodes before she replaced Terry Farrell (Reggie).
