What sitcoms changed their end titles for syndication-usually for deleting original sponsor references or other reasons?

Didn't Beverly Hillbillies have some advertisement for Kellogg's in their theme song or something?

There were a lot of sitcoms in the early '90s that, when they went into syndication, added voiceovers from actors in the show during the production company credits. Why? I don't know.

Love, American Style did this practice before the recent DVD's came along.

On the original network runs and on the S1 DVD, the closing credits originally had still scenes from the day's episodes. Also, the closing theme tune was slightly longer as well.

On syndie reruns, they replaced the original closing credits with the Red, White, and Blue background used from the opening credits.

The Flinstones also did this practice during local syndication reruns and before Cartoon Network and Boomerang reruns.

AKA: Warner Brothers would do that to all their syndication packages, with having a voiceover sayind something to the effect of '_______ is produced by _______ and distributed by warner brothers domestic television' or some thing akin to that. Seemed a bit redundant when you flash they flash the vanity cards and WB logo anyway.

I know what you mean...Family Matters is a Miller-Boyett production and then what you mentioned at the end..what was the point of that?

Leave it to beaver..in the background during the closing credits to the first season, it was sponsored by remington-rand typewriters. of course, there's a typewriter in the orginal closing but in the syndi version, the typewriter was replaced by a different background.

I Love Lucy when it went into syndication replaced their sponsors(Philip Morris, Lilt, ect.) with the heart on satin. Andy Griffith replaced him and Opie walking home from the fishing hole to a plain background with trees(B&W) and Mayberry(Color).Gomer Pyle was replaced from marching out of line to a picture of the barraks.

Love That Bob was sponsored by numerous companies but Winston cigarettes sponsored it for a few seasons..during the closing credits Winston cigs. were featured but when it went to syndi, the background was changed.

I never knew that. Wow. I always thought those closings were original.

Especially true for the Miller-Boyett sitcoms!

Perfect Strangers, Full House also did this heavily.

Head of the Class I think still retains these v/o closing titles whenever its reran.
