Default Tuesday Weld

Am I the only one who noticed that there were at least a couple of references to Tuesday Weld on LITB?

The first one that comes to mind is on the episode titled "A Night In The Woods". When Wally, Beaver, Gilbert, and Whitey go to rescue Eddie from the dark ravine, Eddie says something like "Hey Wally, is that you?". Gilbert sarcastically replies, "Well, it ain't Tuesday Weld!"

There's another Tuesday Weld reference on the episode in which Beaver and Gilbert (Richard?) put too much laundry detergent into the washer machine, but I can't remember the exact lines.

Anybody got anymore?

Cool

I remember the one with Eddie in the ravine! And I loved the way Gilbert delivered that line. Classic!

Good old Gilbert, he was one of the few on the show who could really give it back to Eddie.

That's true! Gilbert never passed up an opportunity give Eddie "the business".

Gilbert was the only one of Beaver's friend who wasnt afraid of Eddie. They probably mentioned Tuesday Weld because she was a pretty big star, and teenage boys like Wally & Eddie probably had crushes on her.

Yes, she was on the "Dobie Gillis" sitcom for a few seasons during LITB's original run on TV.

I wish TV Land would show "Dobie Gillis". I've never had a chance to watch it, but my older siblings have told me that it was a great show.

I'm in the middle of watching all the LITB episodes that I have on my DVR, so I'll be sure and watch for the references!

That's exceptionally thoughtful of you, Schmoopie. And may I say that you look quite lovely today?

Yikes, I'm starting to talk like Eddie Haskell!
