I thought I was the only one who remembers this show..one I think of is the episode of the football player, played by Richard Crenna I think, and the final scene he had a huge big toe. Crazy feet.

My cable company recently added the "American Independent Newtork" to their channel lineup. It appears to be a network that's operating on a very limited budget - the bulk of their programming is infomercials. On Monday nights, however, they started showing some programs from the early 50s, including "My Little Margie" and "I Married Joan". This was the first time I've seen either show. I got the impression the I Married Joan was lauched by NBC as their response to "I Love Lucy". Joan Davis was a very talented performer. It's a shame that she is largely forgotten today.

You are right, I Married Joan was NBC's answer to Lucy. I agree, its a shame Joan Davis is forgotten today. But i believe the fact that she died 40 years ago and her daughter ( Beverly Wells who played her "sister" on Joan's show ) died soon after could be the reason for it. But thats the case with so many who died young and so long ago. In fact most of the cast had died by the end of the 60s, except of course Jim Backus but from what I read he didnt have to many fond memories of either Joan Davis or I Married Joan. |

My mom said that this show was very funny, & that in used to be on The Family channel in reruns in the 80s. I would like to see it on Nick @ NIte or something.

I have a lot of IMJ episodes but am looking for more. If anyone knows where I can find episodes, please let me know. I really enjoy this show a lot.
