"King of the Hill" will get a proper sendoff with an hourlong series finale set to air Sept. 13.
Fox execs had indicated last week during the Television Critics Assn. press tour that the net would not air any more fresh segs of the animated series, which has been a mainstay of Fox's lineup for 13 seasons. But insiders chalked that up to a slip of the tongue by Fox entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly. The network had always planned to run the hourlong swan song for Hank Hill and his Texas clan, but the finale airdate wasn't nailed down until Monday's announcement. "King of the Hill," from 20th Century Fox TV, was created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, who are exec producers along with John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Jim Dauterive, Garland Testa, Howard Klein and Michael Rotenberg. http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryId=14&cs=1 |

It deserves a proper final. It's been very under appreciated by Fox for years.

I'm glad to hear that "King of the Hill" is getting a proper sendoff! Both the show and it's fans deserve this!

After 13 seasons of beer, barbecue, bickering and bonding, the Hill family delivers a Southern-style send-off in a one-hour series finale episode of KING OF THE HILL airing Sunday, Sept. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
In the series finale episode, "The Boy Can't Help It" / "The Honeymooners," Bobby becomes quite the ladies' man when several girls in his class consider him a potential date for the Homecoming dance. When he realizes the girls are just playing with his emotions and are not really that interested, he asks his pal Connie to the dance. Also in the episode, Hank is shocked when his mother announces she is marrying a man she has only known for a few weeks. Soon after, the newlyweds celebrate by purchasing an RV and heading to Hank's. When Hank's mom and new stepfather have a heated argument, she takes off with the RV and Hank is left to rescue his mother once again. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.a...=20090810fox01 |

Perfect. I would have liked it if they gave it another season of 13 episodes and aired it at 7:00 on Sunday Nights in Mid-Season right before American Dad. And Plus they got those other 4 episodes that they produced. And Tecnicly this isn't a proper series finalie. This was an episode that they produced for this season that would have just aired normally. So Tecnically with that last 13 episode order, plus 6 left over from this season, it would make out to be 19 episodes. Would have been a better idear. FOX would just air re-peats of Til-Death In That 7:00 spot instead.

I do miss this show. At least, I still have the reruns.
