Default My Disappointment with Gwendolyn's Visit in Season 2

I was looking forward to the two part "Twice Upon a Time" episodes, where gwendolyn returns for a visit. But a couple things bothered me.

1. Buddy hates Gwendolyn. He goes on about how she destroyed Charles. But after watching all 22 episodes of the first season, that just wasn't so. And also, I was under the impression that Charles and Gwendolyn decided to just be friends according to the episode (Friends or Lovers).

2. Gwendolyn doesn't mention the Pembrokes. This probably happened off screen, but I still would have liked to have seen a scene where Gwen asks where the Pembrokes are and Charles explains to her that he's "in charge" of the Powells now.

Okay, it was great to see her come back, and the wedding part was good, but all in all, it wasn't that great. I admit, seeing Buddy go off on Gwen was classic, though.

In the four seasons with the Powells the Pembrokes are only mentioned once and that is in the episode "Dutiful Dreamer" from Season Three where Charles calls them. It would have been nice for them to be mentioned more and even for someone to come and stay with the Powells like Douglas or Jason. I guess the producers didn't want draw attention to the fact that there was another family before the Powells because they didn't want to confuse the viewers who didn't see the CBS run.

I think it would of been nice to have an episode where Charles went to visit the Powells? Yeah but like you said it would of confused viewers who never scene the first season.

I never bought that mess either. I don't like it when history is changed on a show. That sucked big time!
