How could a big TV star like Kelsey Grammer think that Kevin Reilly, the programming head of FOX, had something to do with the heart attack he suffered a year ago?
If you heard Grammer speak about it during the panel for his new ABC comedy Hank, it's not hard to connect the dots. "I had an event they thought was stress related. You can make of that what you will. It was a rough year," said Grammer, whose FOX sitcom Back to You was cancelled after its first season. His beef was that he pitched the show to Reilly when the exec was still at NBC, and he passed. Then Reilly got the position at FOX after they bought Back to You. So, basically, the show was airing on a network whose entertainment head already passed on it somewhere else. That, according to Grammer, caused conflict between the network and the writers of the show. http://www.tvsquad.com/ |

Oh yeah! Right! I'm sure his heart attack had nothing to do with his own lifestyle choices. (what he ate, what he drank, how active he was or wasn't) Come on Kelsey, take responsibility for your own health.

I read this article, and I love Kelsey for speaking out against both networks about Back to You and Medium - he's completely right about Kevin Reilly being a main source of the show's cancellation. The fact that he still cares enough to mourn the cancellation of Back to You means a lot. Hopefully Hank will be his next hit sitcom, and hopefully ABC will treat him better than FOX did. |

Stress most definitely can contribute to a heart attack. Kelsey's bad lifestyle is behind him. Still, I often hear of a musician who partied hearty for the majority of his adult life. Stops it, lives well and has a heart attack 12 years later. It's as if the damage was already done. I often wonder if my husband quit smoking in time. I guess the important thing is that he quit.
