UPDATE! Season 6 - New Release Date: November 3rd - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just received an e-mail from Tony at VEI who informed me that Season 6 is now slated for a November 3rd release date. I thought I would post a new thread for those who might miss it at the end of the previous thread.

If you're as disappointed as I am, let VEI know. Amazon will probably cancel all pending orders. This has happened once in the past. They don't tend to keep orders open this long. I have to say that this has been the WORST I have ever seen a release handled.

I guess the bright side is that it hasn't been outright cancelled.

We've waited this long.....

In the grand scheme of things , a couple of more months is better than nothing, but this is frustrating.

at the very least Amazon will ask if we want to wait the extra time and I will say Yes!!!

I hope they do that too. They could just hold the open orders until the release date. It's more convenient that way. Either way, I'm anxiously awaiting this set. Finally, another series complete on dvd.

Was there any reason given as to why the delay is three months, and why did they wait until the last minute to let everyone know?

They must have seen the problems developing way ahead of the scheduled release date.

I received an e-mail from Amazon.ca today that said Season Six will ship between November 6-16th.

They sent an e-mail saying no need to pre-order again if you had already done so. All orders were still being held. Only 2 weeks away. Do we think it's gonna happen this time?

Has anyone received their shipping confirmation yet? I haven't but I'm hoping they will ship soon. According to an independent seller, they are currently being stocked. So we should see it released this Tuesday.
