Default BREAKING NEWS! Carson's Comedy Classics Returns Nationally!

Couldn't really find a perfect place to put this announcement....But...the 1980's syndicated "Carson's Comedy Classics" has returned on the national cable REELZ Channel, their programming is what the original concept of what E! used to be when it was called movietime....there was also the popcorn channel...remember that one anyone? Anyway with the addition of Carson, this maybe could pave the way for other seldom aired classics to return...remember during E!'s transition from movies to entertainment they actually aired, One Day At A Time, Alice, etc. But this does show that perhaps a channel totally devoted to movie reviews, etc. really doesn't work, since REELZ is a third attempt at a channel totally devoted to the subject of movies. Anyway "Carson's Comedy Classics" does just center on the comedy segments and not interviews, which I always thought was a shame..but it still is a good thing it has returned....it can be seen at the following times, all eastern....

WEEKDAYS 12:00 noon & 12:30PM with same day repeats @ 7:00PM,7:30PM. 2:00AM & 2:30AM.

Which reminds me.....where is the classic all talk channel where Mike Douglas, Johnny Carson, Dinah Shore, John Davidson, Merv Griffin, Rosie, Dick Cavett, Davd Frost, Tom Snyder, Old Lettermans, Arsenio Hall, Joan Rivers Late show and all the rest could live on forever and educate a new generation to entertainers of the past! Never understood why no company has never created this type of channel.

So happy to see this back on tv. I just love this show. Kinda weird though it being on the REELZ channel but happy a network has put it back on the air. Hopefully it will be on for awhile. I will for sure be recording these.

I checked out the tv listings & looks like this is only on for a week. I don't know why they even bother putting it on if there only gonna show it for a week.

I emailed The Reelz Channel & amazing got a reply.

Here is what they said in the email.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoy Carson's Comedy Classics. We just started airing the program and are gauging people's response to it. If successful, we will consider increasing our broadcasts of it. They just don't make them like Johnny anymore and it's great to get these reminders of why he will always be the tops.

Thank you for writing to us at ReelzChannel. We enjoy hearing from our viewers and website users.

So if you like this show, tune in. Might be able to get many more airings of it.

There will never be another Johnny Carson, that's for sure. What wonderful memories I have of watching Johnny and Ed with my Mom, and relaxing and laughing at the end of summer nights and holidays and Fridays.

I'm glad to see this back on the air, and I think the idea of a Talk Show Channel is a great one (as long as the Chevy Chase show tapes are buried so deep the dogs can't find them, lol).
