Do you mean sleep apnea? That's a big problem. I've had problems before where I've woken up in the middle of the night and was gagging and gasping for breath.

I think I used to have it because on my days off, say I would wake up at about 8AM, but by noon or 1, I was so tired, I would need to take a nap. Which made me think that I wasn't sleeping well at night, because of the sleep apnea. Plus I was a bit heavier back then, I have since lost weight, so I'm sure that had alot to do with it. Never had to use a machine though but I knew of a couple people who did. I don't really know how they slept having to wear that mask!!

I am an insomniac. Not sure what sleep apnia is. I kind of have a clue of what it might be, so I might have it, but I'm not 100% sure.

I have a mild case of it and opted not to get the machine.

I've head of sleep apnea, I think that's when somebody has problems breathing when they sleep though. Never had much trouble sleeping. Hope you get better :-)

My father has got it big time. He has always been a snorer but latley it's gotten worse. There are times when he'll snore and he will not make another sound for a couple of minutes and then he'll finally snore again. He's also very overwight, 300+lbs. He is planning on losing a lot of weight so maybe if he just lost weight it would help.

My father had it. He wasn't overweight either. It was downright scary sometimes, watching him take a nap, and go for a while without taking a breath.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I wasn't linking it to obesity at all. I was just suggesting in my dad's case that it's probably contributing not the whole reason.

Actually i think some people with sleep apnea have problems controlling their weight.
