This is something new; it shows a release of October 2009. I wonder if First Look is finally giving in and starting to release some of these standard episodes like we've all wanted and been complaining about.
I can't find a description of what's on the box set though. |

It's 92 episodes on 12 discs. Not sure if these are uncut episodes or just segments they have already released.

Well, it looks to be about 25 1/2 hours of material. They don't give much of a description of what's on the set, though.
I really hate to give CM my money for this after they've stabbed all us true fans in the back with their spike deal, and crappy methods of releasing the program onto DVDs. Any one here who this particular release... promise to write a review for us please?

Not a bad price for that & I would buy the set if they was the non spike episodes & they have not been released on any of the other sets.
I am sure as time gets closer to the release date, there will be more info on the set. I have a feeling though that this set & the ghost set that is to be released are the chopped up spike episodes. If that is the case, they are so wasting there time & money putting these sets together. The other sets did not sell well surely these will do even worse. It would be nice to finally have a nice set of UM. IMO they for the most part dropped the ball when they released the first sets. I still do not understand how they could release a miracle & treasure sets but yet did not even bother to release a mysterious dissapearences one when a there were so many of these that aired on UM. |

Nevertheless, I hope this new set is new content, but I have my doubts. Here's an article on these new discs which they are calling re-releases: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Uns...-Release/12141 |

Why release the same stuff all over again in one box? The have the ultimate collection, which is the treasure chest, and includes everything. Now they're just repackaging it? What for?

I AM SURE COSGROVE/MUERER HAVE THEIR REASONS FOR DOING THIS, BUT WHYYYYY RELEASE THE SAME OLD STUFF ON DVD? PERSONALLY I THINK THERE ARE FAR BETTER SEGMENTS THAT THEY COULD RELEASE ONTO DVD.
DENNIS DEPUE, SUSAN HARRISON, ADAM EMERY, AND QUITE A FEW OTHERS... |

, $175,000 per episode, they went to the bank with a Perhaps these are the re-narrated with Dennis Farina? One thing that is misleading is it says "12 discs and 92 episodes", it can fool someone to thinking they are full episodes, they should say either 92 segments or 92 stories." It may seem picky but a few people can fall for that, especially if they think there are new sets and figured the past discs won't get re-released.

I want originals. Is there any chance that UM will ever release original Robert Stack segments. not in the best of genre format? like a complete collection or something? Not that the genre's were bad, but I had already seen most of those as they were the more popular re-aired episodes.

I agree! Althogh i am somewhat happy with the UC, theres gotta be a massive amount of great 80s and 90s segments missing, some of which i remember fairly well. I hope to god these classic segments are released.
Does anyone know if there are any non best of compilation torrents of unsolved mysteries? I really yearn for that ogopogo episode! And is the show even worth watching on Spike? |
