With Surviving Surburbia's 1st Season Finalie less then a week away (Finalie Airs August 7, 2009) The Fait for one of the last great family sitcoms on air is still undecided. What do you think will happen, or should happen.

Unfortunately I don't think it has any chance of coming back. It's a shame, Surviving Suburbia is better than all of the comedies nominated for Emmys this year.

I would like to see this show return for a second season, though I doubt that it will. ABC didn't really give it a chance.
The ratings weren't bad at all when it followed Dancing with the Stars. I think had ABC left it in that timeslot a little longer, long enough for it to actually gain a following of its own, the show would've been able to survive. Moving a new show from one timeslot to another over and over again is virtual suicide because it doesn't have the following to withstand that yet.

...that the series was originally supposed to appear on the CW's "leased" schedule on Sundays last season, and pulled at the last minute because the deal fell through, and that ABC agreed to schedule the 13 episodes that had already been filmed this past season was nothing short of a miracle! I can't help it if THEY didn't know what to do with it...or DID they? Seems the only shows ABC [and the other broadcast networks] favors are those they own and/or co-produce themselves, that are doing well- and "SURVIVING SUBURBIA" wasn't one of them.
