The trailers are so long, and they give away everything. It's to the point that I don't even watch them anymore. Is anyone else sick and tired of this?

Absolutely! Remember how short trailers used to be? The one I can think of right away is the one for John Hughes' "She's Having a Baby". That one doesn't even have any talking in it; just music. They show enough scenes to tell you the main premise but it's probably less than 45 seconds long. The ones that are really cool are the really old trailers, like they used to show for movies staring classic actors/actresses like Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.
Remember how the previews started right when the movie was supposed to start (Say 3:15) and after you saw about three previews, the actual film would start? Now it's almost not worth rushing to get to the theatre on time, because you'll just be stuck watching COMMERCIALS for a half hour beforehand! Insane! And they wonder why theatre attendance has gone down!! People can stay at home and watch commercials! |

Earlier this year, there was a horror movie out called The Unborn.
In The Unborn, a girl is haunted by the ghost of her twin brother who died while they were still in the womb. The evil spirit of the twin boy needs her to be born into this world. How do I know this? Because in the TV trailer they used the dialogue from the movie to describe excatly what I just wrote!

I remember seeing the trailer for Castaway years ago and pretty much you were able to figure out the whole movie from the trailer. One of my friends figured out how The Others would end just by watching the trailer.

Thing is, with most DVDs, they don't allow you to bypass the mini-movies AKA the trailers.
