Well, I knew it would happen but just sad to see him go.

He's going to the White Sox and they will send the Padres 4 players.

To Chicago

The Chicago White Sox acquired Jake Peavy from the San Diego Padres for four players.

The Sox sent pitchers Aaron Poreda, Clayton Richard, Dexter Carter and Adam Russell.

Peavy, who has been on the disabled list since June 9 with an ankle injury, had a complete no-trade clause. He's a two-time All-Star and won the Cy Young Award in 2007.

I'm surprised that he ended up going to the same team that he declined to go to earlier in the season.

Yeah no kidding. I think he might be out for the season though. And I saw the standings.. they are 2.5 games out of first place...
