I just started the New DVD Show, now I get to start this. Wooo!
IMO, this was superior to TLS (until Desi Jr. left), but neither one beat ILL. |

Between these two series, the best episodes BY FAR are those first 30 black and white episodes of TLS. They are all classics! And it's no wonder: not only do you have Lucy and Viv, but there are other wonderful ILL elements namely Desi Arnaz (producer) and Bob Carroll, Jr., Madelyn Pugh Martin, Bob Schiller, and Bob Weiskopf (writers). The show began to slide after the first season (Desi was gone from TLS by the second season), slipped some more after the second season (Bob Carroll, Jr. and Madelyn were gone as writers), and then fell to rock bottom in the fourth season (Viv and Schiller and Weiskopf were gone from the shwo).

I just found this board, dawsongirl. Much smaller than the ILL board.
I liked this show, too. I liked the presence of her real children on the show. It made it more family-like. |

I wondered if you'd ever get here
![]() Too bad Desi Sr. couldn't have made a guest appearance. Now there's TV history! BTW, Desi left as producer of TLS after like the 8th episode. |

What an outstanding thought! Desi, Sr. on Here's Lucy! Now that would be history!
The four of them were together only once: the last episode of ILL.

I've always read that Lucie and Desi, Jr. were on the last episode of ILL. But "The Lucy Book" says in its synopsis, "Desi Arnaz Jr. is featured in the last scene, standing in front of Vivian Vance. The girl with him is not Lucie Arnaz, as has been reported elsewhere."
With all the conflicting reference books, its tough what to believe. |

Just to clarify, Lucie Arnaz was definitely not in the last episode of the half hour I Love Lucy format. I've heard her say this many times, and you can read an explanation of the confusion on The Lucie Arnaz Homepage -- www.LucieArnaz.com , under the Ask Lucie section (one of the earlier sets...). Hope this helps.
