In the opening credits of the show when they were all going to the drive in, in the car was a cat. The end credits we see the cat again as Fred puts him out, and then the cat puts Fred out. I have been watching this for years and have seen every episode, but for the life of me other than the credits I dont think I have ever seen this cat.
What happened to him, or was in an some episodes and I missed it??? |

Well I guess that cat that kicks Fred out of the house in the closing credits is the only place we'll ever see him. Maybe at one point they decided for Fred and Wilma to have a cat and Dino for pets, but decided to stick with Dino.

I haven't seen the show in a long time but I seem to remember the cat was in a couple of episodes. I think he just disappeared though. Maybe Dino did eat him. lol

The cat appeared in the early Dell comic books, with the name "Baby-Puss"
and there was a Marx TV Tinykin toy figurine of him. But, aside from the credits, I can't recall seeing him in any episodes. But I haven't seen the whole first season since it originally aired (1960-1961). I think they got more mileage out of Dino, the doglike "runtasaurus" (as Ted Sennett referred to him in The Art of Hanna-Barbera). |
