I'm sure members of this forum are much more knowledgeable than I am on this.. can anyone tell me what the historical significance or any significance at all the attached document holds??? I own this document and i have reason to believe recently that it may be special in some way. Thanks in advance for your help.

Martin Leeds was the didector of business affairs at CBS in the early 50's when "I Love Lucy" was being developed and started it's run on CBS. On March 15, 1953 Desi Arnaz hired Martin Leeds to be executive vice president in charge of production at Desilu. This was meant to ease Desi's workload as he was running the studio, producing "I Love Lucy" and playing Ricky Ricardo all at the same time. On Jan. 17, 1955 Desilu purchased Motion Picture Center Studios with Lucy and Desi assuming voting control and Martin Leeds being among those named to the board of directors. The certificate you own is dated February 14, 1955. So I am guessing that Desi and Lucy gave Mr. Leeds 5 shares of the company in lieu of a raise. I think what is really valuable about your certificate is that it contains the signatures of both Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball.

That's worth something for the signatures alone!
