We all know them and we all love them. We have all seen these movies so many times we can quote entire scenes verbatim...yet we still watch them whenever they're on. These classic movies are back for nostalgic enjoyment on TV Land. Friday, September 4, 9p-11:30p Private Benjamin (Premiere) Friday, September 11, 9p-11:30p Field of Dreams Friday, September 18, 9p-11:30p The Bodyguard Friday, September 25, 9p-11p Airplane II Saturday encores / premieres: Saturday, September 5: 8:30am-11am Private Benjamin Saturday, September 12: 8:30am-11am Field of Dreams Saturday, September 19: 8am-10:30am The Bodyguard Saturday, September 26: 7:30am-10am Private Benjamin Special encores / premieres: Saturday, September 5: 4am-6am Four Weddings and a Funeral (Premiere) Sunday, September 6: 8am-10am Four Weddings and a Funeral Monday, September 7: 9am-11:30am Private Benjamin, 11:30am-1:30pm Airplane II (Premiere), 1:30pm-4pm The Bodyguard (Premiere), 4pm-6:30pm Field of Dreams (Premiere) Sunday, September 27: 8am-10am Airplane II -How'd You Get So Rich Premiered Wednesday, August 5 at 10PM Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT thru Sept. 9 Sure, the economy is in the tank, but like it or not, there are still millionaires out there -- and they didn't all get rich by stealing your money (thanks for nothing, Wall Street). They made their fortunes by inventing Billy Bob Teeth and Butt Paste. Enter Joan Rivers and her money-obsessed new show, How'd You Get So Rich? We've all driven by lavish mansions and wondered, 'Who the hell lives there?' Rivers -- no slouch in the indulgence department -- leaves no stone unturned in getting to the story behind the moneybags who walk, or rather drive their Ferraris, among us. Rivers is a titan of comedy and show business, unafraid to poke fun at herself or anyone (famous or not) who crosses her path. Because of this bravado, she's often been viewed as a polarizing force in the entertainment business. Watch as the ruthless funny lady pesters the mega-wealthy about how they made their fortunes -- and more importantly, how they spend it. (Various encores will air throughout the week) -Classic Marathons Every Weekend on TV Land! It's classic marathons every weekend on TV Land! What better way to spend your weekend, right? Saturday, September 5 11am-10pm Married...with Children Sunday, September 6 10am-5pm Beverly Hillbillies 5pm-10pm Andy Griffith Show Saturday, September 12 11am-5pm Bonanza 5pm-10pm Married...with Children Sunday, September 13 7am-5pm Bonanza 5pm-10pm Andy Griffith Show Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 12pm-12am Andy Griffith Show Sunday, September 26 10am-6pm Brady Bunch 6pm-10pm Married...with Children Sunday, September 27 10am-6pm Brady Bunch 6pm-10pm Andy Griffith Show - Labor Day Movie Marathon Monday, September 7, 2009 9am-6:30pm ET/PT Catch premieres of this month's movies on one day if you can't wait for them on Fridays at 9pm! 9am-11:30am Private Benjamin, 11:30am-1:30pm Airplane II (Premiere), 1:30pm-4pm The Bodyguard (Premiere), 4pm-6:30pm Field of Dreams (Premiere) - Get Schooled Tuesday, September 8, 2009 8:00pm-8:30pm ET/PT Get Schooled is a 30-minute special that will describe the education crisis in the US and introduce solutions on how to turn things around. I will say TV Land is getting better. They always seem to get better around this time of the year, lol. Roseanne is down to 1 night in primetime, and instead of just Roseanne and Cosby getting primetime marathons, Andy and MASH also get one, which is nice to see.
Daytime isn't too bad, and at least we get Three's Company back at 4am. Too bad TV Land didn't give Three's Company a primetime marathon, though. It hasn't aired in primetime in years and should be given another chance. I'd much rather watch TC over MASH or Andy anyday. Still, I wish TV Land would do something to get Married with Children and Home Improvement over. |

No matter how much Tv land tries to break away from Andy Friffith, they're stuck with it I guess as I guess it's still one of their higher rated shows. Unfortunately it's put on so much at the expense of many of their other shows.

I still can't get TV Land, but I've heard so many bad things about it, I guess it's good that I don't know what I'm missing.

If they really wanted to do something different (which I know they would not do), they would license a few eps. of the Pvt. benjamin TV show to air along with the movie.

First post updated. Married...with Children is officially now on TV Land and will remain in September! It'll air weeknights 8-9pm, Tuesdays 8pm-12am and on Saturday marathons. See first post for full updates.

Find out more on this and what will happen to Married... on Spike: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/20...9-updates.html
I wish MWC would encore 12-1am instead of 12-3am Roseanne. Roseanne can keep 1-3am. |

I'm starting to think I'm the only one that can't stand that show. I'd rather watch Roseanne.
Why do they not want to air Andy Griffith on the weekday schedule? I don't get it. Beverly Hillbillies airs 4 times a day, and I don't think it did as well. |

Like it. But ditch Hillbillies at 7pm/7:30pm and put Andy Griffith there. I don't get why Andy doesn't air weekdays. Especially with the Saturday marathon now being replaced by MWC. If they are going to air Hillbillies at 7pm, they should replace its 1pm airing with Hogan's Heroes or something like that.
I think it would also be cool if they did a Three's Company block on Saturday nights from 10pm - 12am like they do with M*A*S*H on Sundays. Cosby Show already gets a marathon during the week. |
