Exclamation REPORT: Farrah Fawcett Leaves Fortune to Troubled Son, Not Husband Ryan O'Neal

Farrah Fawcett excluded Ryan O'Neal from her 2007 will, instead leaving everything to her son Redmond O'Neal.

That's what England's Daily Mail is reporting, saying Farrah's troubled, 24-year-old, currently incarcerated son Redmond stands to inherit his mother's approximately $6 million estate.

"Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money supports her son's journey into sobriety rather than giving him the means to destroy himself," a source reportedly told the paper. "Redmond’s inheritance will be tightly controlled."

Redmond was in jail on drug-related charges and unable to be by his mother's side when she died. O'Neal said he asked Fawcett to "please forgive him, that he was so very, very sorry."

The "Charlie’s Angels" star died of cancer at age 62 on June 25. The paper says she wrote her last will in 2007 after she learned her anal cancer had recurred and spread to her liver.

Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal had a 15-year relationship which ended in 1997 and reunited after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.

Fawcett documented the trials and tribulations of her battle with cancer in the NBC documentary "Farrah’s Story."

Good for her. Truly, I think that was a good decision.

What a sad story that was when she passed. I was worried her son would get all her fortune and destroy himself further but, she was a smart cookie and did her homework. God Rest her soul and best of luck to Redmond.

Good for Farrah!! By the way, since when was Ryan her husband? Does someone know something we don't?

It's sad to think that she's gone but it's touching to know that she was looking out for her son. I hope he gets the help he needs. I still say that Ryan O'Neal was very selfish in wanting to marry her right before she died. In the end she was so sick that she didn't really have a say in the matter and I don't think it would have been sincere. If she had made the decision to marry him without him trying to force it on her, it would be different; now that would be romantic, but this isn't. He doesn't deserve the money anyway and if he's bitter over this than it just shows how greedy he is.

You're right. He's the reason Redmond is in the shape he's in. That's why she didn't give Ryan nada.

I don't like Ryan for some reason. He just doesn't seem like a good guy to me. I don't know why.

You wouldn't be alone, Ramona. He does kind of have a sinister vibe to him. Also, three of his four kids have battled substance abuse and the law, so he'll never win a Father of the Year award.

Yes, Ryan was never her husband and it doesn't surprise me a bit that he was left out. He doesn't need the money anyway and I'm sure they had amicably agreed that the money should go to Redmond. Let's just hope Redmond does clean up and that money is wasted on being wasted.

Sounds like the tabloids are still trying to make more out of things than they really are. No big surprise here.

I sure hope Redmond has learned his lesson - after all, it was because of his addiction that he missed his mother's last moments. I just hope it's not all in vain.
