Default Sonny I found out something today about Joe Montana I knew never before-LOL

That during the 1992 NFC Championship Game at San Francisco, Joe Montana was Healthy and able to play that day but they went with Steve Young instead-lol

So we may have DODGED a huge bullet that day because me and both know JOE ROCK may have played a role of beating Dallas again-lol

You know on that day I never even though about Joe Montana which supports the statement-"OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND"-lol

Man I was so nervous during that game. I had to turn it off a couple times. lol If Joe had played they probably would have won. He always beat us. Steve Young was never in Joe Montana's class. He lucked out in 1994. After the Cowboys gave the 49ers 21 first quarter points, we outplayed them for the rest of the game but it was just too much to overcome. The 1994 Cowboy team was a better team than the 1995 one that won the SB.

I also learned the controversy started because the Niners were eliminated by the Vikings in 87 playoffs-lol

Yea I never understood why there was ever a QB controversy. All Joe Montana ever did was win. I think George Seifert was more of a Steve Young guy and Joe Montana was more Bill Walsh's. After Walsh left the QB Controversy really got going. lol I wish the Cowboys would have a QB controversy with 2 hall of famers. Instead we got Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson. lol

The Roger Staubach-Craig Morton controversy was a pretty good one although that was before I started watching the Cowboys. I didn't really think much of the Troy Aikman-Steve Walsh one though. Walsh wasn't that great of a QB. I think the reason the Cowboys got him was because Jimmy Johnson was his college coach. We got a few more draft picks for him though so he was worth it. lol Another one was Danny White and Gary Hogeboom. The worse decision Landry ever made was putting Hogeboom in. He was awful. That started the Cowboys decline in the 1980's.
