Question "Moving On" and "The Party" (AKA Stanley, Ladies Man)

As you may know, these two "Ropers" episodes air as "Three's Company episodes.
But are they also included in "The Ropers" syndication package? I think that they should have stayed part of "The Ropers" package in the first place. If they are not included, that would be unfar to Jeffrey Tambor, Even Cohen, and Patricia McCormack, because they were credited up front, and being credited as guest stars on these two episodes is so unfair.

I agree. On the other hand, TC is seen in syndication much more often that "The Ropers" is, and I bet Jeffrey, Patty, and Evan get more residuals this way.

Actually, there was a time when The Ropers was in more snyication then TC, because syndicated networks wanted to get a hold of shows which they thought could fill in for bad time slots, and The Ropers was one of them. By that, I mean a show to take over at about midnight-6:00AM. Alot of syndicated networks also wanted Three's A Crowd, but many of them failed with it, because of the loss of the amount of episodes created. Networks would try and get that series at a weekend hour, usually around dinner time, to fill in for a stupid game show that they don't need. The Ropers hasn't been in syndicated since 1999. Three's A Crowd, not since late 1998. USA Network did in fact buy out Three's A Crowd for 1986 daytime.

Well I am oin Tampa, FL and both shows aired. One at 5:30am and then one at 2:00pm then after the seasons finished running the shows would swap time slots. This was back in 1993. In 1990, The Ropers would air Sundays @ 1:30 after 3'company.

When Nick at Nite bought the rights to TC, they also bought the rights to The Ropers and Three's a Crowd, but they haven't aired either one yet, as far as I know. Why not?

Wink

Combined there are 50 episodes, and considering Gilligan's Island gets a one hour block and a part of the unrealathon with only 98 episodes, so it's beyonded me. They could at least show it one or two times all three seasons (Combined). "Three's Company" is still going strong at Nick-at-Nite, so NAN.......show the episodes!

I only seen 4 episodes of the Ropers and the show was not that good. I think the Only character that could have been in their own show from Three's Company is Larry. Defintely Not The Ropers.

In my opinion, it wasn't that bad. True, it's nowhere near as good as Three's Company, but it's not the worst show in the world IMO. I've seen 10 episodes, and I thought they were all pretty good. Who knows...maybe if ABC hadn't moved it to Saturdays, the show could've had a 3 or 4 season run.
