Two things surprise me about that list. First Detroit isn't on it. Second I'm surprised only 9 american cities have a population of over 1 million.

Here a couple of things I thought aboutas I writing the list. 1. New York City And Los Angeles will both most likely remain the nation largest cities for years to come, NYU could have up to 20 million by 2030 and LA would have about 10 million by 2030. 2. Houston may become the Third Largest city and replace Chicago in the next 2 years or so, It is growing fast and is now starting to move in on Chicago population. |

The Twin Cities metro area has 3 million people... Minneapolis feels so big, but Minneapolis proper only has about 380,000 people. St. Paul proper has about 270,000 people. |

Frankly I am not surprised Detroit isnt on that list. The city has taken a big hit with everything that is going on with the automotive industry, and so many people have left over the years. Detroit's population is now under a million.
